January 3, 2025: Willimantic, CT 06226 Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT), 74-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Windham advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Whippets travel to New London (New London, CT) to meet the Whalers in a Eastern Connecticut I match on Wednesday, January 8. The Whalers enter the match with a record of 4-3. New London won 82-42 in their recent league match against Fitch (Groton, CT)
The Lancers now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Killingly for a Eastern Connecticut II match on Tuesday, January 7. Waterford will meet a Redmen squad coming off a 75-51 league win over Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT). The Redmen record now stands at 4-0.
