Washington High School Basketball - Port Angeles bested by Central Kitsap
January 3, 2025: Silverdale, WA 98383 Central Kitsap Cougars (Silverdale, WA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Port Angeles Roughriders (Port Angeles, WA), 54-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Central Kitsap advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Cougars host Lincoln (Tacoma, WA) to face the Abes in a 3A Puget Sound match on Wednesday, January 8. The Abes enter the match with a record of 2-6. Lincoln lost 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Sumner (Sumner, WA)
The Roughriders now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sequim for a 2A Olympic match on Tuesday, January 7. Port Angeles will face a Wolves squad coming off a 56-36 non-league loss to East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] (Port Townsend, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-5.
