Maine High School Basketball - Cony nudges Mt. Ararat
January 3, 2025: Augusta, ME 04330 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cony Rams (Augusta, ME) and the visiting Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME), observed Cony's basketball team edge Mt. Ararat by a score of 57-53.
The Rams (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Warriors come into the A North challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Nokomis was tipped by Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME), 45-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Deering Rams (Portland, ME) in a A South challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Mt. Ararat will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 55-41 league loss to Marshwood (South Berwick, ME).
