South Dakota High School Basketball - Custer toppled by Sioux Valley
January 3, 2025: Volga, SD 57071 Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD), 62-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sioux Valley advances its record to 4-1 on the year. The Cossacks travel to Deubrook (White, SD) to face the Dolphins in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Dolphins enter the match with a record of 5-1. Deubrook lost 50-45 in their recent non-league match against Chester (Chester, SD)
The Wildcats now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mahpiya Luta for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Custer will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 89-16 league win over Little Wound (Kyle, SD). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-0.
