Maine High School Basketball - Madawaska nudges East Grand
January 3, 2025: Madawaska, ME 04756 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) and the visiting East Grand Vikings (Dansforth, ME), observed Madawaska's basketball team edge East Grand by a score of 32-25.
The Owls (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Central Aroostook was tipped by Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME), 50-32, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) in a D North challenge, on Monday, January 6. East Grand will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 38-33 league loss to Schenck (East Millinocket, ME).
