In Friday's non-league test, the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle (Draper, UT) basketball squad knocked off the host Hillcrest Huskies (Midvale, UT), by a score of 50-38.

Next, the Soaring Eagle encounter the Summit Academy Bears (Bluffdale, UT) in a 3A Region 14 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Juan Diego Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Bears come into the test with a 3-9 record after their 39-38 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Midvale, UT).
