The L.C. Bird Skyhawks basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Hopewell Blue Devils to 41 in the Skyhawks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Skyhawks now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Huguenot for a Dominion game on Tuesday, January 7. L.C. Bird will play a Falcons team coming off a 43-10 league loss to James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Hopewell falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Highland Springs (Highland Springs, VA) to play the Springers in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 8. The Springers go into the game with a record of 3-2. Highland Springs won 56-28 in their recent non-league game against Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA)
