January 3, 2025: Malakoff, TX 75148 In Friday's non-league test, the Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) basketball squad defeated the host Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX), by a final score of 37-26.
Next, the Bumblebees clash with the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Little River Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 15-3 record after their 52-12 league win over Rockdale (Rockdale, TX).
The Tigers (21-3) will now prepare for their test against Winona (Winona, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region II District 15 test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Winona went down by Edgewood (Edgewood, TX), 2-0, in a league test.
