January 3, 2025: Portland, OR 97223 Oregon Episcopal Aardvarks (Portland, OR) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Vernonia Loggers (Vernonia, OR), 50-27 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Oregon Episcopal upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Aardvarks travel to De La Salle North Catholic (Portland, OR) to face the Knights in a 3A Lewis & Clark match on Tuesday, January 7. The Knights enter the match with a record of 2-6. De La Salle North Catholic won 42-41 in their recent non-league match against Umatilla (Umatilla, OR)
The Loggers now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Bible Christian/Life Christian for a 2A Northwest match on Tuesday, January 7. Vernonia will face a squad coming off a 41-23 non-league loss to Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR). The record now stands at 2-5.
