In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Starmount Rams basketball team scored a close 49-42 triumph over the Leadership Academy Falcons.

The Rams (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against West Stokes (King, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, West Stokes was tipped by R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC), 71-68, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons confront the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) in a contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Leadership Academy will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a 8-1 record after their 66-27 league win over Piedmont Classical (Browns Summit, NC).
