The Sunlake Seahawks basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Central Bears to 55 in the Seahawks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Seahawks now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mitchell for a 6A District 9 test on Monday, January 5. Sunlake will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 58-49 non-league win over Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-9.

The Bears (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Sharks come into the non-league test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Nature Coast Tech held off Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate (Tampa, FL), 50-35, in a non-league test.
