The West Panthers (Salt Lake City, UT) basketball nipped the visiting Murray Spartans (Murray, UT), 46-44 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (5-4) will now prepare for their test against East (Salt Lake City, UT). The Leopards go into the 4A Region 6 test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, East was tipped by Cottonwood (Salt Lake City, UT), 54-38, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Highland for a 4A Region 6 test on Tuesday, January 8. Murray will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 65-55 league loss to Olympus (Salt Lake City, UT). The Rams record now stands at 3-6.
