The Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC) basketball nipped the host Crescent Tigers (Iva, SC), 55-48 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Liberty (Liberty, SC). The Red Devils go into the AA Region I test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Liberty was tipped by Powdersville (Greenville, SC), 54-49, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Carolina Academy for a AA Region I test on Tuesday, January 8. Crescent will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 60-32 league loss to Landrum (Landrum, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-8.
