January 4, 2022: Genoa, IL 60135 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) and the visiting Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL), saw Genoa-Kingston's basketball squad wallop Belvidere by a tally of 71-28.
With the victory, Genoa-Kingston improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Cogs host Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL) to confront the Rockets in a Big Northern challenge on Wednesday, January 5. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Rock Falls won 44-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Providence-St. Mel (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Bucs confront the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Wednesday, January 5. Belvidere will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The J-Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 54-48 non-league loss to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).
