Texas High School Basketball - Wall overwhelms Grape Creek
January 4, 2022: Wall, TX 76957 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wall Hawks (Wall, TX) and the visiting Grape Creek Eagles (San Angelo, TX), saw Wall's basketball squad wallop Grape Creek by a tally of 53-16.
With the victory, Wall improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX) to confront the Indians in a 3A Region I District 6 challenge on Friday, January 7. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Jim Ned won 51-44 in their recent league challenge against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 7. Grape Creek will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Badgers come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 54-38 league loss to Brady (Brady, TX).
