The West Brunswick Trojans basketball team (Shallotte, NC), was overwhelmed 61-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC)

The Buccaneers now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pender for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 5. Laney will confront a Patriots team coming off a 79-59 non-league win over Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-3.

The Trojans (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, West Columbus trounced St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC), 47-43, in a non-league battle.
