Michigan High School Basketball - Calumet overwhelms L'Anse
January 4, 2022: Calumet, MI 49913 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI) and the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), saw Calumet's basketball squad wallop L'Anse by a tally of 71-21.
With the victory, Calumet improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Copper Kings host Houghton (Houghton, MI) to confront the Gremlins in a Western Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, January 18. The Gremlins come into the challenge with a record of 5-0.
Next up, the Purple Hornets confront the Watersmeet Nimrods (Watersmeet, MI) in a Copper Mountain challenge, on Thursday, January 6. L'Anse will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Nimrods come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 60-18 non-league loss to Baraga (Baraga, MI).
