Texas High School Basketball - Rochelle can't hold off May
January 4, 2022: May, TX 76857 The May Tigers basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Rochelle Hornets to 40 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
In their next game, the Tigers meet the Moran Bulldogs (Moran, TX) in a 1A Region II District 13 match, on Friday, January 7. May will attempt to move on its 15-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 5-12 record after their 39-27 non-league loss to Wichita Christian (Wichita Falls, TX).
With the defeat, Rochelle moves to 9-13 on the year. The Hornets host Cherokee (Cherokee, TX) to meet the Indians in a 1A Region III District 17 match on Friday, January 7. The Indians enter the match with a record of 2-9. Cherokee lost 41-32 in their recent non-league match against May (May, TX)
