West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles face the Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) in a Northern Athletic challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. West Valley will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.

The Cougars now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Chico for a Eastern Athletic challenge on Friday, January 7. Foothill will face a Panthers team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Lindhurst (Olivehurst, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-1.
