Virginia High School Basketball - Greensville County holds off KIPP Pride
January 4, 2023: Emporia, VA 23847 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Greensville County Eagles (Emporia, VA) and the visiting KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC), saw Greensville County's basketball squad hold off KIPP Pride by a tally of 64-57.
With the victory, Greensville County improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Surry County (Dendron, VA) to confront the Cougars in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Monday, January 9. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-8. Surry County lost 55-41 in their recent league challenge against Sussex Central (Sussex, VA)
Next up, the Pride confront the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) in a 1A Conference 9 challenge, on Friday, January 6. KIPP Pride will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 70-45 league loss to North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC).
