Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) and the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), saw South Central's basketball squad overcome New Bern by a tally of 60-51.

With the victory, South Central improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Havelock (Havelock, NC) to confront the Rams in a 3A/4A Conference 19 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 1-12. Havelock lost 52-51 in their recent non-league challenge against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC)

Next up, the Bears confront the J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 19 challenge, on Friday, January 6. New Bern will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Rampants come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 56-46 league loss to D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC).
