North Carolina High School Basketball - North Stokes knocked off by West Stokes
January 4, 2023: King, NC 27021 The West Stokes Wildcats basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting North Stokes Vikings to 54 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to T.W. Andrews for a 2A Conference 34 contest on Friday, January 6. West Stokes will meet a Red Raiders team coming off a 72-42 league win over North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Red Raiders record now stands at 8-3.
The Vikings (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears enter the 1A Conference 36 contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Mount Airy was defeated by Thomasville (Thomasville, NC), 55-51, in a non-league contest.
