Virginia High School Basketball - Independence nudges South Lakes
January 4, 2023: Ashburn, VA Independence (Ashburn, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Lakes Seahawks (Reston, VA), 52-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The travel to Briar Woods (Ashburn, VA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 1-0.
Next up, the Seahawks clash with the Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. South Lakes will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 50-24 non-league win over Broad Run (Ashburn, VA).
