Ohio High School Basketball - Clay holds off Eastwood
January 4, 2023: Oregon, OH 43616 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Clay Eagles (Oregon, OH) and the visiting Eastwood Eagles (Pemberville, OH), saw Clay's basketball squad hold off Eastwood by a tally of 41-38.
With the victory, Clay improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Ross (Fremont, OH) to confront the Little Giants in a Three Rivers challenge on Monday, January 9. The Little Giants come into the challenge with a record of 11-1. Ross won 65-31 in their recent league challenge against St. Ursula Academy (Toledo, OH)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Lake Flyers (Millbury, OH) in a Northern Buckeye challenge, on Friday, January 6. Eastwood will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Flyers come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 44-40 non-league win over Bowling Green (Bowling Green, OH).
