The Hammond Central Wolves routed the host Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks basketball team by a final score of 71-28 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Wolves face the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles (Lake Station, IN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 7. Hammond Central will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Fighting Eagles enter the game with a 10-3 record after their 52-45 non-league loss to South Central (Union Mills, IN).
