January 4, 2023: North Kingstown, RI 02852 In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) ice hockey team nudged the host North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI), by a margin of 3-2.
The Vikings now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Smithfield for a Division 2 challenge on Friday, January 6. Rogers will clash with a Northmen team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, RI). The Northmen record now stands at 3-2.
The Skippers (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Mounties enter the State Championship Division challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Mount St. Charles Academy tipped DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.
