Virginia High School Basketball - Glass nips Spotswood
January 4, 2023: Lynchburg, VA 24501 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA), saw Glass's basketball squad hold off Spotswood by a tally of 43-40.
With the victory, Glass improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Rustburg (Rustburg, VA) to play the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Rustburg won 57-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA)
Next up, the Trailblazers play the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Spotswood will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 79-18 non-league win over Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).
