St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons (Punta Gorda, FL), 57-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Thomas More upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Trinity (Louisville, KY) to clash with the Shamrocks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Shamrocks go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Trinity won 47-36 in their recent non-league bout against Newman (New Orleans, LA)
