January 4, 2024: Fox, AR 72051 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Rural Special Rebels (Fox, AR) and the visiting Norfork Panthers (Norfork, AR), saw Rural Special's basketball squad overcome Norfork by a tally of 67-52.
With the victory, Rural Special improves its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR) to confront the Pirates in a 1A Region 2 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 2-19. Calico Rock lost 69-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Melbourne (Melbourne, AR)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Norfork will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 83-40 league loss to Augusta (Augusta, AR).
