January 4, 2024: Geneva, IL 60134 The Lyons Lions basketball team (LaGrange, IL), was nudged 48-44 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL)
The Vikings now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Charles East for a DuKane battle on Saturday, January 6. Geneva will battle a Fighting Saints team coming off a 54-46 non-league loss to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 12-5.
The Lions (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL). The Huskies come into the West Suburban - Silver battle with a 3-14 record. In their last battle, Oak Park-River Forest edged Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL), 50-21, in a non-league battle.
