The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Tri-Valley Mustangs to 50 in the Titans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Titans now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Platte/Geddes for a A Region 5 contest on Thursday, January 11. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will battle a Black Panthers team coming off a 51-35 non-league loss to West Central (Hartford, SD). The Black Panthers record now stands at 3-4.

The Mustangs (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Baltic (Baltic, SD). The Bulldogs enter the A Region 3 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Baltic was defeated by Elkton/Lake Benton (Elkton, SD), 45-32, in a non-league contest.
