The Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Eastern Wayne Warriors to 62 in the Monarchs non-league victory on Thursday.

The Monarchs now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to J.H. Rose for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 10.

The Warriors (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Princeton edged East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC), 50-44, in a non-league contest.
