January 4, 2025: Clinton, MD 20735 The Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) basketball edged the host Clinton Grace Christian Eagles (Clinton, MD), 63-61 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they host St. John's for a DCSAA AA bout on Tuesday, January 7. Bishop Ireton will play a Cadets team coming off a 65-40 non-league win over St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD). The Cadets record now stands at 11-3.
With the loss, Clinton Grace Christian falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host New Hope Academy National (Landover Hills, MD) to play the Tigers in a Metro Private bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 12-11. New Hope Academy National lost 86-77 in their recent non-league bout against Glenelg Country (Ellicott City, MD)
