North Carolina High School Basketball - Kinston overwhelms Camden County
January 4, 2025: Kinston, NC 28501 The Kinston Vikings basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Camden County Bruins to 38 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Vikings now have a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to East Duplin for a 2A East Central game on Tuesday, January 7. Kinston will confront a Panthers team coming off a 45-41 league loss to James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 6-2.
With the loss, Camden County falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Bruins host First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to confront the Nighthawks in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal game on Tuesday, January 7. The Nighthawks go into the game with a record of 4-6. First Flight lost 76-56 in their recent non-league game against Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC)
