The Southern Wake Academy Lions (Holly Springs, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), 76-56 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ascend Leadership for a 1A Central Tar Heel bout on Tuesday, January 7. Southern Wake Academy will play a Aviators team coming off a 68-27 non-league loss to American Leadership Academy-Johnston (Clayton, NC). The Aviators record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, First Flight falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Camden County (Camden, NC) to play the Bruins in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 6-3.
