The Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats basketball squad (Jasper, NY), was nudged 44-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Mount Morris Blue Devils (Mount Morris, NY)

With the victory, Mount Morris advances its record to 3-3 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Dansville (Dansville, NY) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 8. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 2-8. Dansville won 51-49 in their recent league battle against Haverling (Bath, NY)

The Wildcats now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hammondsport for a Section 5 Steuben - II battle on Monday, January 6. Jasper-Troupsburg will meet a Lakers squad coming off a 64-36 non-league loss to Dundee (Dundee, NY). The Lakers record now stands at 1-6.
