Iowa High School Basketball - Kennedy holds off Johnston
January 4, 2025: Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Kennedy Cougars basketball team scored a close 64-61 triumph over the Johnston Dragons.
The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Saints go into the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Xavier nipped Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA), 54-51, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Dragons confront the Waukee Warriors (Waukee, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Johnston will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 71-51 non-league win over Urbandale (Urbandale, IA).
