The St. Helena Saints basketball squad (St. Helena, CA), was nudged 45-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA)

With the victory, Las Plumas advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Yreka (Yreka, CA) to meet the Miners in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. The Miners enter the battle with a record of 5-9.

The Saints now own a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kelseyville for a North Central I battle on Tuesday, January 7. St. Helena will meet a Knights squad coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Fortuna (Fortuna, CA). The Knights record now stands at 6-8.
