The St. Charles basketball squad (Waldorf, MD), was nudged 54-51 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs (White Plains, MD)

With the victory, Southern Maryland Christian Academy advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Mustangs host King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD) to meet the Eagles in a Maryland Independent battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 4-11. King's Christian Academy lost 81-68 in their recent league battle against Avalon (Wheaton, MD)

The now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northern for a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, January 8. St. Charles will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 58-50 league win over North Point (Waldorf, MD). The Patriots record now stands at 7-1.
