Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sun Valley holds off Academy Park

January 4, 2025: Sharon Hill, PA 19079

The Sun Valley Vanguards basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Academy Park Knights to 55 in the Vanguards non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Vanguards now have a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Kennett for a Ches-Mont - American game on Tuesday, January 7. Sun Valley will confront a Blue Demons team coming off a 44-32 non-league loss to Delaware Military Academy (Wilmington, DE). The Blue Demons record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Academy Park falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Penn Wood (Lansdowne, PA) to confront the Patriots in a Delaware Valley game on Tuesday, January 7. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 3-6. Penn Wood lost 51-27 in their recent non-league game against Avon Grove (West Grove, PA)
