January 4, 2025: Belvidere, IL 61008 Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL), 49-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hampshire upgrades its record to 7-9 on the year. The Whip-Purs travel to Jacobs (Algonquin, IL) to face the Golden Eagles in a Fox Valley match on Tuesday, January 7. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-9. Jacobs lost 42-28 in their recent non-league match against De La Salle (Chicago, IL)
The Blue Thunder now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Guilford for a Northern Illinois 10 match on Tuesday, January 7. Belvidere North will face a Vikings squad coming off a 46-30 non-league win over Rogers (Toledo, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 12-4.
