Iowa High School Basketball - Mason City toppled by Humboldt
January 4, 2025: Humboldt, IA 50548 Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA), 58-47 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Humboldt upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Wildcats host St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to face the Gaels in a North Central challenge on Tuesday, January 7. The Gaels come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. St. Edmond won 35-26 in their recent non-league challenge against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA)
In their next game, the Mohawks battle the Fort Dodge Dodgers (Fort Dodge, IA) in a Iowa Alliance challenge, on Monday, January 6. Mason City will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Dodgers come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 91-12 league win over Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA).
