Georgia High School Basketball - Upson-Lee triumphant over Mary Persons
January 4, 2025: Thomaston, GA 30286 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) and the visiting Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA), observed Upson-Lee's basketball team overwhelm Mary Persons by a margin of 61-20.
The Knights (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Spalding (Griffin, GA). The Jaguars come into the AAA Region 2 challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Spalding was trounced by Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA), 62-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) in a AAA Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Mary Persons will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 70-41 league win over Troup County (LaGrange, GA).
