Minnesota High School Ice Hockey - Grand Rapids holds off Wayzata
January 4, 2025: Plymouth, MN 55446 The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks ice hockey team scored 3 points and held the host Wayzata Trojans to 2 in the Thunderhawks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Thunderhawks now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Superior for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. Grand Rapids will play a Spartans team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Irondale (New Brighton, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 1-5.
With the defeat, Wayzata moves to 8-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 4-3. St. Michael-Albertville lost 5-2 in their recent non-league bout against Bemidji (Bemidji, MN)
