Ben Lippen Falcons (Columbia, SC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ben Lippen upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Falcons travel to Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC) to play the Highlanders in a SCISA AAA Region I bout on Friday, January 7. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Heathwood Hall Episcopal lost 52-45 in their recent league bout against Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC)

Next up, the Indians play the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC) in a AAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 55-49 non-league win over Keenan (Columbia, SC).
