The Utica Chieftains basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Lutheran North Mustangs to 53 in the Chieftains non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Chieftains now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Shore for a Macomb Area - Blue contest on Friday, January 7. Utica will battle a Shorians team coming off a 54-53 league win over Cousino (Warren, MI). The Shorians record now stands at 7-1.

The Mustangs (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record.
