Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) and the visiting Cypress Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX), saw Cypress Ranch's basketball squad hold off Cypress Woods by a tally of 37-36.

With the victory, Cypress Ranch improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Langham Creek (Houston, TX) to confront the Lobos in a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Saturday, January 8. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Langham Creek won 50-41 in their recent league challenge against Cypress Lakes (Katy, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Cypress Park Tigers (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 challenge, on Saturday, January 8. Cypress Woods will attempt to improve on its 14-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 48-34 league loss to Bridgeland (Cypress, TX).
