Virginia High School Basketball - Princess Anne tipped by Churchland
January 5, 2023: Portsmouth, VA 23703 The Churchland Truckers basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Princess Anne Cavaliers to 45 in the Truckers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Truckers now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norview for a Eastern contest on Friday, January 6. Churchland will meet a Pilots team coming off a 67-42 non-league loss to Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA). The Pilots record now stands at 5-3.
The Cavaliers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Peninsula Catholic nudged Forsyth Country Day (Lewisville, NC), 62-52, in a non-league contest.
