California High School Basketball - Santana nips Grossmont
January 5, 2023: Santee, CA 92071 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) and the visiting Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), saw Santana's basketball squad hold off Grossmont by a tally of 48-43.
With the victory, Santana improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Sultans host El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA) to play the Braves in a Grossmont - Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. El Cajon Valley lost 82-81 in their recent non-league challenge against High Tech CV (Chula Vista, CA)
Next up, the Foothillers play the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Grossmont will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 66-64 non-league loss to Montgomery (San Diego, CA).
