January 5, 2023: Texico, NM 88135 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) and the visiting Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM), saw Texico's basketball squad overcome Dora by a tally of 42-23.
With the victory, Texico improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Melrose (Melrose, NM) to confront the Buffaloes in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Melrose won 56-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Floyd (Floyd, NM)
Next up, the Coyotes confront the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Dora will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 54-43 non-league loss to Jal (Jal, NM).
